The phone has been part of our lives for more than 100 years. In our generation alone we have gone from talking on a wired handset, entering phone numbers on rotary dials and picking up the phone without nary a clue as who is on the other end beforehand to walking around with our phones at all times and all places, not knowing one phone number as we simply touch the picture of who we want to call and we don’t pick up unless we know who is calling at that moment.
